QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Psychology
Overview
The aim of the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Psychology is to provide learners with an understanding of the main cognitive functions such as perception, executive functions, language, attention and their role in psychology. Learners will develop practical skills for a career in psychology.
Successful completion of the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Psychology provides learners with the opportunity to progress to further study or employment.
Entry requirements
For entry onto the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Psychology qualification, learners must possess:
- An honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
- Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
- Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course
Qualification structure
- The QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma Psychology consists of 6 mandatory units, total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

- Exploring psychology
- Cognitive and biological psychology
- Qualitative Research Methodology
- Social and Cultural Psychology and Psychology of Human Development
- Rehabilitation Psychology
Duration and delivery
- The qualification is designed to be delivered over two academic years for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials.
Progressions
Successful completion of the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Psychology qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue their study towards a relevant master top-up programme with advanced standing at many universities in the UK and overseas.
