QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Psychology
Overview
The Extended Diploma is combination of both the Level 4 and Level 5 Diplomas. All aims and outcomes are duplicated.
Completing the Extended Diploma has a value of 240 credits. This is equivalent to a Foundation Degree and as such allows access to the final year at one of our University partners for a related Honours Degree. Learners who do not complete Extended Diploma but achieve a minimum of 120 credits at Level 4 will be awarded the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Psychology
Entry requirements
These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 16 and above.
The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
- Relevant Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
- GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
- O/L with 6 passes + Credit Pass for English

Qualification structure
The QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma in Psychology qualification consists of 12 mandatory units, 240 credits, 2400 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 1200 hours.

Duration and delivery
- The qualification is designed to be delivered over two academic years for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials.
Progressions
Successful completion of the QUALIFI Extended Level 5 Diploma in in Psychology qualification provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions.
As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners may be eligible to gain direct entry into Year 3 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
