QUALIFI Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security

Overview

The qualification has been created to develop and reward those learners who are looking to or already have chosen a career in a business-related sector. We hope that centres and learners take the opportunity to learn a great deal from this programme that will provide relevant new skills and qualities. It is envisaged that this programme will encourage both academic and professional development so that your learners move forward to realise not just their own potential but also that of organisations across a broad range of sectors.

 The Diploma is accredited at Level 5 with a total equivalence of 120 credits. It is envisaged that learners completing this Level 5 programme will progress to a university Level 6 Top-Up programme in the risk management field.

Entry requirements

These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 16 and above.

The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:

  • Relevant Level 4 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
Qualification structure
  • The QUALIFI Level5 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification consists of 4 mandatory units, 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 600 hours.

Duration and delivery
  • The qualification is designed to be delivered over two academic years for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials.
Progressions

Successful completion of the QUALIFI Level5 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions. 

The Level 5 Diploma in Cyber Security has been developed with career progression and professional recognition in mind. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to gain direct entry into Year 3 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
