QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management
Overview
The qualifications have been created to develop and reward the Hospitality and Tourism managers of today and the future, and to continue to bring recognition and professionalism to the management sectors.Furthermore, we look to develop the team leaders, managers and leaders of the future through the creation and delivery of learning appropriate for industry.
The Level 4 Certificate provides an introduction to the main facets and operations of organisations. It introduces the challenges faced by modern day businesses. The qualification focuses on developing understanding, skills and abilities to equip the Learner with the awareness and aptitudes to be an effective organisational manager and leader.
Entry requirements
These qualifications are designed for learners who are typically aged 16 and above.
The entry profile for learners is likely to include at least one of the following:
- Relevant Level 3 Diploma qualification or equivalent qualification
- GCE Advanced level in 2 subjects or equivalent qualification
- O/L with 6 passes + Credit Pass for English

Qualification structure
- The QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism qualification consists of 4 mandatory units, 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and the recommended Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for this qualification is a minimum of 600 hours.

- Operations Management in Tourism and Resort Operations
- Management of Visitor Attractions
- Employability and Development in the Hospitality Industry
Duration and delivery
- The qualification is designed to be delivered over two academic years for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials.
Progressions
Successful completion of the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality qualification provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including progression to relevant QUALIFI Level 5 Diplomas, including the QUALIFI Level 5 Extended Diploma Tourism and Hospitality qualification.
The Level 4 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality has been developed with career progression and professional recognition in mind. As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to gain direct entry into Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme.
