QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security
Overview
The aim of the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security is to offer learners an advanced knowledge of the industry by deepening their awareness of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
The core objective of the Qualifi Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification is to equip learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills required for a career in the cyber security sector.
The QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security aims to give learners the opportunity to:
- Gain a recognised qualification from an internationally recognised Awarding Organisation.
- Develop research and critical thinking abilities to carry out independent cyber security research.
- Develop competence in security management (risk assessment, compliance, and governance)
- Gain in-depth knowledge of network security, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and cloud security.
- Develop an understanding of ethical and legal aspects relating to privacy, compliance, and the legal frameworks that regulate cyber operations.
Entry requirements
For entry onto the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification, learners must possess:
- An honours degree in related subject or UK level 6 diploma or an equivalent overseas qualification
- Mature learners with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
- Learners must be 21 years old or older at the beginning of the course
Qualification structure
- The QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security consists of 5 mandatory units, total of 120 credits, 1200 hours Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 600 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the completed qualification.

- Applications of Cyber Security
- Security Management and Governance
- Cryptography
Duration and delivery
- The qualification is designed to be delivered over two academic years for full-time study but it is also flexible in its delivery in order to accommodate part-time. The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials.
Progressions
Successful completion of the QUALIFI Level 7 Diploma in Cyber Security qualification enables learners to progress into or within employment and/or continue their study towards a relevant master top-up programme with advanced standing at many universities in the UK and overseas.
